You’ll quickly be greeted with a friendly wave and smile when you walk into Boss Chiropractic. There will be some paperwork to fill out, and then you’ll meet with Dr. Christopher Boss . During your consultation with Dr. Boss, you’ll have the opportunity to tell him of symptoms and concerns, as well as your expectations of treatment. You may also feel free to ask any questions about your health or particular situation.
Will I Be Sore or Stiff After My First Visit to a Chiropractic Clinic?
If you are a first time patient at a chiropractic clinic, there can be some muscle stiffness and mild soreness 12-24 hours after your treatment. Most chiropractors will warn you about this side effect. The stiffness will likely feel like you've just worked out. To alleviate any soreness or stiffness, ice the treated areas and do gentle stretches. As you progress with your treatments, the soreness or stiffness should dissipate. Our chiropractic clinic cannot wait to assist you on your healing journey.
Thoroughness means better treatments.
During your physical exam, we will perform orthopedic testing as well as reflex assessments, muscle testing, and a specific chiropractic evaluation. In some cases, X-rays may be needed for accurate diagnostics. Dr. Boss will then thoroughly discuss the findings with you as well as the role he will play as chiropractor in your journey to wellness. Depending on the situation, treatment may or may not begin right then and there, as will any necessary physical therapy, supplementation, or laser treatments.
You should not feel much pain during adjustments, though you may feel some temporary discomfort until joint pressure is relieved. Contingent upon your condition, some additional visits may need to be scheduled to resolve any issues.
